Hi everyone - hope you're all enjoying the weather!

Just wanted to reassure everyone about the pub. I spoke to the new owners Ops manager today and he said that he was worried the village was worried as the pub has been boarded up. This is simply for security reasons, until the refurb starts on July 27th.

Also Selina is still the manager as before, your new landlords, who seem lovely, are Liam and his wife Brooke and their friend Cathy. You'll soon see the work started so please be reassured. If you fancy seeing what the Punch Group do their other pubs near us are The Filly in Brockenhurst or The Anglesey Arms in Chichester.

Selina and all the regular staff will be back very soon!

As of Thursday we will no longer own the lease at the Bricks, so we will have to give up Brick Makers. Our new insta page will be lifeafterbricks so please follow us there. Gareth will be sharing recipes, his eventual build of our outdoor kitchen and anything food related we may do in the future. Exciting times!

First in, last out! Here's our brilliant Selina Standell and the wonderful Emilie Louise Morgan who were with us from the beginning. Emilie is a teacher now (and also a brilliant artist) who saved the day last night by doing an impromptu shift after one of our staff called in sick yesterday! We had no staff as they're all on holiday so we were completely thrilled and grateful that Emilie could help out. She's still got it!! Thanks Em. Selina we could not have done this without you, you are like a daughter to us, thank you. We won't miss you because we will see you!
