☯️ Where there is darkness, there must be light… wise words from history, and words we aim to live by at the Guide Dog when it comes to our freshest guest ales!

🪙 Firstly, we’ve got 8-Bit Shilling, a deliciously dark Scottish ale collab between Elusive Brewing & Stenroth Brewing. It’s sweet, malty, and with a good scoop of caramel and coffee notes to boot!

☀️ The yin to its yang, we’ve also just put on Oakham Ales’ Sun City, a gorgeously smooth blonde ale with a cheeky punch of aromatic tropical flavours.

🌦️ Come rain or shine, come on down and have a taste!

✨ Friday? More like Fri-YAY, because the weekend’s finally here and we’ve got our usual array of splendid starters to kickstart that Friday feeling.

👀 Eagle eyes will spot a host of new goodies that have arrived in our cellar today; we’ve got blondes, milds and pales from the likes of Elusive Brewing, Oakham Ales, Castle Rock Brewery, and more, all raring to get on tap this coming Saturday/Sunday.

⚽️ Speaking of Sundays; we’ll be open at the slightly early time of 2pm this Sunday for those looking for a post-match pint to cheers to a Southampton success/drown their respective sorrows (delete as applicable).

🍋 Most notable of which is perhaps the return of crowd favourite Citra from Oakham Ales, a zesty and citrusy session IPA that’s the perfect accompaniment so our sudden show of sunshine!

🌅 A 4.6% American pale, it’s got all the great stuff you know and love about an APA. Hoppy, fruity, bitter, and with a fresh lemon zest finish to end on. Grab a pint whilst you can!

🔟 Alongside the stellar Steam Town Brew Co selection, we’ve got some terribly tasty 10/10 tasters from our friends at Ten Tun Tap House!

🚂 Red Dibnah: On cask, Red Ale collab with Double-Barrelled brewed with smatterings of New Zealand hops for a beautiful blend of fruity bitterness.

🏛️Temples of Vista: Meanwhile on keg, a citrusy American pale, with some cheeky notes of peach and tangerine coming along for the ride.

🍻 Fresh on today! Two tasty little pale numbers these respective breweries have poured their hearts and (northern) souls into. No heartbreak hotels here.

🧭 Back once again from Steam Town Brew Co we’ve got their northern inspired pale bitter Northern Soul, 4%, and deliciously biscuity and hoppy.

🪩 A new addition from Elusive Brewing, it’s Elvis the Seagull! Don’t leave the building yet; not without having a taster of this 5.2% hazy pale, with some peachy sweet notes!

⏰ Tick tock, it’s Friday o’clock, which means it must be time to show off what we’ve got on to kick off your weekend, including an awesome array from our friends at Alfred's Brewery!

🚗 DRIFT: A bitter yet smooth, dry-hopped pale, loaded up with delicious El Dorado, Idaho and Motueka hops. At 4%, you’re in no danger of going sideways!

🥝 NZ PALE MOTEUKA: A hoppy, honey-sweet NZ pale, brimming with Moteuka hops. Another 4 percenter that ought to leave you feeling sweet as a kiwi.

And finally a couple of casks from Ten Tun Tap House, a kegged Temple of Vista citrus session pale, and an exciting collaboration with Double-Barrelled for the superbly named Red Dibnah, an autumnal red ale with NZ hops!

✨ Thank your lucky stars, the weekend is here, and here’s what we’ve got on! Alongside the usual tasty selection, we’ve got a couple of new favourite fresh on!

🚂 Steam Stout from Steam Town Brew Co: A smooth and rich 5% stout, with a touch of roasted coffee notes to linger on the palate. That’s a train we can all get onboard!

🏅Cheltenham Gold from Goff’s: A citrusy 4.5% Golden Ale brewed with Cascade, Citra and Chinook. It was originally brewed to celebrate the Cheltenham Gold Cup - thankfully there’s no hurdles for you to get a pint!
