🦜 As I said on my last visit to Bird World: shout out tou-cans, and by a remarkably coincidence, we’re giving a shout out to cans today too.

🍻 Aside from our excellent array of beers on cask and keg, we’ve also got a fantastic selection to pick from in our fridges, for drinking in and taking away (with a handy-dandy can holder to assist there!)

😋 Whatever your mood, there’s something to tickle your taste buds. Lagers (dark, fruited and helles) from Jubel and Steam Town Brew Co (as well as plenty else from them!) IPAs from Otherworld Brewing, Stouts from Neptune Brewery, and alcohol free options from Big Drop, for the designated driver.

🍻 Thank your giddy aunts; the weekend is finally here! And we’re all stocked up and ready to go with a tasty selection, including some tasty new bits coming soon from Elusive Brewing and Goff’s!

😎 In the meantime, get your chops around the delicious new keg drop we’ve just received from Steam Town Brew Co, with some old and new favourites!

🇳🇿 NZ Pale: A 4.2% session IPA hopped with New Zealand malts that’ll have you doing the Haka with how hoppy and floral this brew is!

☑️ Nitro Stout: Smooth as velvet, richly roasted, the only thing better than its 4.2% ABV is the fact that this stout is also gluten-free!

🐴 Pony Truck: A touch stronger at 6%, but this NEIPA comes jam-packed with tropical, juicy notes. This flew out the taps last time, so grab it whilst you can!

🍺New Keg Beer!🍺

⚕️Salus Populi from Steam Town Brew Co

Taken from Eastleigh Borough Council's motto (Salus Populi Suprema Lex) which translates as 'The health of the people is the highest law'. And with one sip you’ll surely be toasting to the health of yourself, your friends and any passing bystanders!

Soft, biscuity base gives rise to pineapple, citrus and peach, New England style, 4.5%abv hazy tropical IPA - grab it while you can!

We’d be… lion… if we said we weren’t looking forward to the weekend (and that we won’t stop making football puns…)

🍻Here’s what’s on this weekend to wet your whistles! And coming very soon;

🍓Strawbosphere from Stardust: Strawberry and wheat come together for this delicious little 5% number, perfect for when the sun (eventually) comes back out!

⚫️ Oatmeal Stout from Downlands Brewery: Malty, cocoa, coffee, 4.8%… all the good things for whilst that sun stays away!

🔴 TOMORROW! ⚪️

Before/during/after Saints fold the creases of those pesky Irons at home; I’d be remiss not to *hammer* home the point that you should check out our latest guest ales, fresh on tomorrow 👉🏻👉🏻

🤡 Jester XPA from Siren Craft Brew: A classic pale ale with that dry grapefruity edge, and at just 3.8%, there’s no danger of making yourself into the court fool!

🧭 North by North East from Thirsty Moose: Another easy drinking pale, but with a biscuity-malty body, rounded off with some cheeky tropical notes that might send you spinning South by South West!

🔴 Saints play Stoke tomorrow afternoon, but guess where there’s an even better Stoke to be found in Southampton? ⚪️ (Spoilers: it’s here)

We’ll be open from midday tomorrow to get everyone buzzing for the first home game of the season! And aside from our spectacular Stoke, brilliant Bishops and the rest of the cracking collection from Steam Town Brew Co, we’ve got plenty other tasty guests to pick from!

🧸 Soaked in Citra from Tiny Rebel: A 4% American style IPA that’s hoppy, juicy, and yes, does exactly what it says in the label.
🥣 Oatmeal Stout from Castle Rock: Coffee, caramel, creamy, all the best things from a 4.6% stout now the weather’s gone all gloomy.
🦢 Wild Swan from Thornbridge Brewery: Wild in name, but light in body and notes, here’s a 3.4% XPA that’s perfect for a session!

With rain (finally) on the horizon; make haste while the sun shines to head on over for a taste of ☀️Make Haze While The Sun Shines ☀️, Steam Town Brew Co ‘s newest collaborative effort, with the ever brilliant Electric Bear Brewing

Though it’s our strongest beer on tap (6.4%); you’ll be easily fooled from just one taste. This IPA is softly bitter, with some lovely tropical mango, orange and piney notes to it. Grab a taster whilst you can! 🌦️

Today we’d like to give a shout-out, not to beer (for once) but to one of our regulars, Aaron, as he moves across the country to pastures new! 🚗

Before departing, Aaron very kindly left us a copy of the latest of his 23 (!!) books, in which he left us a very heartwarming tribute 🍻

We wish you all the best for the future Aaron, and thank you for these kind words!

And now; a moment of silence for the sales of our Stoke Pale, which may never recover from his daily visits 😅

Unlike a lunar eclipse, the only special glasses you’ll need for our Friday tasters is some good old fashioned pint glasses! 🍻And alongside our usual splendid Steamtown selection, we’ve picked out some our new favourites 😎

🇲🇽 GOLAZO from Stancill Brewery : A biscuity and smooth 4.4% pale with El Dorado hops that’s been going down very well with the regulars!

🐓 STANZA from Dorking Brewery: A classic hoppy, citrusy 3.4% XPA, though you’d never know it was such a low ABV from the taste alone!

🤖 FASHIONABLY LATE from Steam Town Brew Co & Siren Craft Brew : A peachy, bitter 4.5% WCIPA collab, and an old favourite we’re more than happy to welcome back.
