To confirm after discussing with my staff and reviewing CCTV about what happened last night this is what happened at my venue Cafe Parfait.
It involved the brand paradox and they have decided to slate the venue for what was a laughable situation!
One of the paradox customers arrived at the venue with no ID. As part of our license all customers have to enter with ID and have it scanned. Not our rules. The police's rules. He said he was going to pop him and get some.
He clearly wasn't the brightest spark as 5 minutes later he came back with some ID. The ID was not his. It was the ID of another customer who had already been into the venue.
This sort of deception could land the venue in big trouble and jeopardise its licence if people use other people's ID to enter the club.
When my staff rightly made it clear that this person wasn't going to be allowed in at all that night due to their lies and quite frankly idiocy the promotors (paradox) decided to spit their dummy out like petulant kids and removed their DJs from the venue and shut the night down.
Fortunately the owner of security nation Marcel happened to be there popping by at the time it happened so was there to witness it.
To confrim we have let paradox have that room month in month out for ZERO financial gain but out of respect paradox and their old skool DJs/team to give them a nice room to play in.
They average 20-40 customers per event. The bar takes an average of £400. Let me explain what that means to Cafe Parfait.
£400 - VAT @20% = £330
Cleaners £60
Doorman £110 (5.5 x£ 20)
Bar staff £78 (13 x 6)
Cost of goods £100 (30% of £330)
Total revenue = £330
Total costs = £348
Average loss of £18
Your petulance has not only cost you a nice room for for you guys to have some fun in once a month but probably cost you the only venue in the city that would be mad enough to host it at a loss.
