Sad Day Today!

Closing business !
We are sad to say that after nearly 3 years of the best time of our lives, we have decided to close down The Handle Bar by the end of today.

As you know that we have been fighting the good fight since we started in 2020. Being met with lockdowns 3 weeks right after we opened, and a few more lockdowns following that. But with your help we have persevered.

Sadly, the current economic crisis, in addition to the massive increase in bills and running costs, it’s been one hit too many for us.

Thus we have made the hard decision to close what we think is the best journey of our lives.

Thank you for all the support! and please continue to do so with all our local pubs and bars that have now formed a strong community with the passion for serving you only the best beers they can get their hands on.

Was awesome having the guys from Olaf's Tun Craft Ale Bar making a stop at ours.

What a day! Thanks to everyone who joined us on tour yesterday - hope the heads aren't too sore this morning!

A massive massive thank you to The Butcher's Hook The Bookshop Alehouse The Handle Bar Southampton Beards & Boards The Witch's Brew Clockwork Bar Overdraft Craft Ale Bar & Dancing Man Brewery for hosting this rowdy bunch. Such a delight to be able to spend the day drinking in our favourite spots - we are spoilt for choice in Southampton! 🍻

We're open 12-9 today, with food from 12-5 (or until it runs out...) and, of course, the meat raffle at 3 - our last one with the wonderful Kemptons of Bitterne, Local family Butcher 🥩
