Welcome to the Ship & Royal. Situated in the heart of South Shields, we are close to public transport, including the Metro station, and central to all areas of the town. We are a traditional, friendly pub offering a wide selection of beers/lagers and wines, all at very competitive prices, together with a quality food offer which is served daily. Function Room

Situated in the centre of South Shields, our function room is an ideal venue for all your function needs. Whether you are planning a Wedding, Birthday Celebration, Christening, Business meeting or a Live Music event. Recently refurbished the room is completely versatile to suit everyone's preference. The room is equipped with a fully stocked licensed bar and can cater buffets for up to 250 people and can provide sit down meals for smaller parties on request.

The Buffet menus have been designed to give a variety of choices, however if you would like to add any dishes or alter in anyway, we will be happy to advise you of any other choices or additional costs.
