There's something about a village bar that feels less like a business and more like a second living room. 🍷

Laughter, real conversation, customers who've become friends. That's what happens when a bar is genuinely family run. Emma and Greg aren't behind the scenes somewhere, they're right there, pouring the wine, remembering your order, asking how your week's been.

It's easy to forget how rare that is. In a world of chains and self-service everything, Wine in the Willows is a reminder that connection still matters….that the best nights out aren't just about what's in the glass, they're about who's across the table (or the bar) with you.

Every laugh in this collage is a moment. Every regular face is a little piece of what makes this place feel like home.

🍷 Our first Wine Buying Committee!

What a brilliant afternoon! ❤️

This weekend we held our very first Wine in the Willows Wine Buying Committee — inviting some of our lovely regulars to help us taste, debate and ultimately choose some of the new wines that could be joining our list this autumn. 🍂🍷

And what a success it was!

One of the things we love most about our little wine bar is that it has become about so much more than just wine. It’s about people, conversation and community.

So rather than Greg & Emma simply deciding what goes on the wine list, we thought… why not let the people who actually drink it have a say?! 😂

There were plenty of opinions, a few surprises, lots of laughs and some definite favourites. We even started proceedings with a little Laurent-Perrier — because every important committee meeting should begin with Champagne! 🥂

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us today and threw themselves into it. We absolutely loved it — and judging by the reaction, the Wine Buying Committee will definitely be back!

Now we just have to decide which wines made the cut… 👀🍷🍂

Wine in the Willows is opening its doors but not everyone in the room is who they claim to be. A guest list of familiar faces, a bottle that shouldn't have been opened, and suspicion in every glass. Secrets behind every smile.

When you book, we'll take your mobile number so we can slip you your character in advance. Book early for first pick of the cast.

No acting experience required. No script to learn. Just turn up, keep your eyes open.

Dress the part if you dare — we'll send a little character description with some outfit inspiration to help you disappear into your role. Come as you are, or come as someone else entirely.
