Thank you all for this weekend. It’s been filled with such love and kindness. All the cards, the gifts, the many hugs. It’s just been a joy.
Not gonna lie, I’m absolutely cream crackered today but it was totally worth it.
You turned up and supported us and it was wonderful.
Thank you all for the last 16 years. To all the staff throughout them. For the wonderful customers that became our family. Without you all, the albion would never have been the community hub it became.
Andrew and I have been blessed with you all.
We wish Brian all the very best with the takeover and I know you’ll all make him feel welcome.

There is no quiz tomorrow (Wednesday) night but we have a cupboard full of games and darts to play. I know the majority will still be in attendance as it’s your weekly “thing” so I hope to see you all. I’ll have the Dobble ready for a challenger! 😉

It’s been an emotional one. All was fine til the quizmaster got choked up! It’s been a wonderful evening, there’s been so much love from familiar faces. There’s been a tear or 17 (by me) . It’s the end of an era! From the day quizmaster rocked up at my gaff, we’ve had a great many years. 16 of the buggers and I’m blessed be that he’s held up with me so long.
Thank you quizzers for all the Wednesdays we’ve shared.

This is it! The last few weeks! Only 29 days til we close the doors and walk away from the Albion as we know it.
From when the decision was made until now, it’s never felt completely real but now we’re here, it’s strange.
I’m not gonna lie, it’s a strange feeling and one where I’m not sure of how to word.
I know, for us, it’s the right decision but that doesn’t make it any easier. 😢
This building represents so much to our family and more so, the community we’ve tried to create. A safe space. A happy place. One that accepts all walks of life and person therein. To feel like I’m turning my back is awful but as always, you lovely lot understand . 🫶🏻
There will be the last karaoke on Friday 27th and we’re full on rodeo/cowboy themed. 🤠 all the girls are returning to work it so expect to see Jess, Claire, Lauren and Tilly behind the bar. The last day, Sunday 29th will be a gathering of us all. A bit of light entertainment and plenty of tissues as we laugh and cry through it. It’ll be a hard day but it’ll be a blessed one and be sure, I’m taking lots of pics so I get to keep to all with me.
