Thirza Clout has recently completed an MFA in creative writing at Manchester Metropolitan University, and working on a collection inspired by family secrets revealed in a suitcase of letters she inherited. Her second pamphlet, Aunts come armed with Welsh cakes, was published by Smith/Doorstop, chosen by Carol Ann Duffy in her Laureate’s Choice series.
Steve Harrison was born in Yorkshire and now lives in Telford. His work has been included in the Emergency Poet collections, The Physic Garden, Pop Shot, HCE and Wetherspoons News. On-line appearances include Fair Acre Press, Up! and Poetry on Loan. He performs across the Midlands and on visits back to Yorkshire and is a previous winner of the Ledbury Poetry Festival Slam.
