No Aunt Sally report tonight, I want every single player in training tomorrow morning. That was an absolute shambles… not time off this summer, practice 2 days a week. You don’t deserve anything. 🤣🤣🤣

⚠️🐾 IMPORTANT NOTICE – HUB FIELD 🐾⚠️

We just want to clarify the position regarding use of the field at the Hub.

Although the land is owned by the Council, the Hub site is leased, maintained and managed by Shipston Enterprise. The field is not an open public recreation ground – use of the field is normally booked and agreed through us, as it is for organisations and groups who regularly use the site.

We have, however, previously tolerated people accessing the field informally to walk their dogs, as we don’t mind the local community enjoying the space when it is being respected.

Unfortunately, we’re now seeing an increasing amount of dog mess being left around the field, which simply isn’t acceptable.

There are also currently some very large cracks and areas of uneven ground across the field. Anyone choosing to access the field without a booking or permission does so at their own risk and should be aware that the field is not maintained as a public recreation area.

🐾 If you choose to walk your dog there, please pick up after it and take the waste away with you.

We really don’t want to stop people being able to walk their dogs on the field, but access cannot simply be assumed. If the dog fouling continues, we will have no option but to stop informal dog walking on the site altogether.

Please respect the field so that we can continue to be reasonable about its use.

Aunt Sally Week 12 & 13 Report - sorry for delay!

You’ve waited long enough so have a double whammy!!

Week 12 - Little Compton The Lion (H)

Jason “The Flapper” Montgomery - Jason didn’t flap this week but his hopes for the top 10 were in doubt with just scoring 3 dolls from 18 sticks thrown! Started strong with a 2, then a 1 then a blob! Started so well…. 6.5/10.

Richard “The G Man” McAllister - Debut game for Brother Richard and I tell you what… he ain’t half bad! (See further down) 🤣 a big 6 (2 3 1) from 18 sticks after not playing for a decade or 2 is pretty good… can you play every week so Charlie Hancox doesn’t have to pick up sticks?! 7.5/10.

Brooke “Young Gun” Seys - Starting off with a blob he did almost redeem himself with a 2, but followed up with a 1… he’s got a lot of work to do to get top doll now! Season started so well, now he is weltering like a sunflower with no water or sun… 6.5/10.

Lee “The Champ” Glennie - Not your best effort mates, may have had something to do with your brother from another mother staying in town… 2 blobs to add to the tally and you know what’s coming later….. BLOBBBY. 2/10.

Simon “Steady Arm” Clifton - I am not too sure what to say about Simon…. He seems to hit a few ones and not blob so he doesn’t have to be AI’d into a big pink cartoon! 2 dolls, 4/10.

Jack “El Capitano” Hancox - A blob to start… SHOCK HORROR. But then steps up and drags to team out of the dirt with back to back threes! The most consistent inconsistent player on the team! 7.6/10.

Josh “Learning to count again” Vick - Well Josh was obviously missing his days at Chipping Campden School, he started off with 1 then 2…. Then 3! Well done gold star for you big man. 7.8/10.

Blobby of the Week - LEEEEE GLENNNNIIIIE! With 2 blobs and 1 doll. Come on mate, only few more games don’t let yourself get another blobbby.

Week 13 - Ilmington Red Lion (A)

Jason “Mr Consistent” Montgomery - 2 2 2 is what he had, must have been the thought of dropping out of the top 10! Good arm though matey, same again next game (tonight). Good from you. 7.6/10.

Brook “The Secret” Seys - 2 2 1 not quite as good as your big brother, step dad, other half… flat mates? Jason but you did well… always performs infant of his girlfriend, well that’s what I’ve heard… 6.9/10.

Simon “Must have practiced at home this week” Clifton - Great start from the big man with a 3, didn’t follow it up as well as he could be a solid 6 overall… Extra meatballs for you next game. 7.4/10.

Richard “Only staying couple of days” McAllister - Well, you either fluked the first week or you had your arm down in Cornwall already because that was rubbish! BLOBBBBYYYY. 2.3/10.

Jack “Captain Insano” Hancox - Another 3 in his first visit to the line, shame it went down hill after that, 1 then a blob…. Try harder, you could be good in another life. Loser. 6.4/10.

Krister “Mr Excuse” Nobes - All we heard since we got there was “I haven’t played for 6 weeks, I’ve had a child, I’ve done this… you’re here to play Aunt Sally not write a novel on how to play s**t at aunt sally… you’d probably be better at that anyway. 4.4/10.

Josh “The Anchor of North Cotswolds” Vick - What ever he does, wherever he goes… he hits dolls and doesn’t blob, my anchor man.
121 not brilliant but not blob in sight. 5/10.

Blobby of the week is….. BROTHER RICHARD!!! This means we have the Blobby Bros!!

See you all again next game (this evening) for a lovely night of adrenaline fuelled, wet night of throwing sticks at a round white piece of wood. Last game of the season at Home to Kingham RBL 20th August.
