NOT JUST ANY COFFEE… ☕️
We wanted to make sure that when you come into The Town Yard for a proper coffee, we’re serving something a little bit different — so meet Koru Coffee 🌿
And the story behind these beans is pretty amazing…
🇨🇴 Our coffee is 100% Colombian Arabica, grown high in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta by Indigenous Seynekun families using traditional, organic and regenerative farming methods.
🍒 The beans are hand-picked and carefully produced to create a smooth, balanced coffee with notes of fruit, chocolate, cane sugar and citrus.
But our favourite part…
⛵️ THE COFFEE BEANS ACTUALLY CROSS THE ATLANTIC BY SAILING BOAT!
Instead of relying on conventional container shipping, Koru transports its coffee across the ocean using wind-powered cargo sailing boats, massively reducing the emissions associated with getting the beans from Colombia to the UK. 🌎
Once here, they’re roasted by an independent South West roaster before making their way to us at The Town Yard.
Even the name has a meaning. Koru is inspired by the unfurling fern and represents new beginnings, growth, strength and peace. ❤️
