BEAT THE PROS AT ROYAL BIRKDALE 🏆🏌️

Throughout July, we’re running our Beat The Pros Challenge at Fringe Golf.

Our resident Fringe professionals, Rob Calderbank and Ben Mason, have set their scores around this year’s Open venue, Royal Birkdale and now it’s your turn to take them on.

Play the course on the simulator, use your full England Golf handicap, and see if you can beat the pros.

How to play

✔️ Book your round at Fringe Golf via YGB
✔️ Play Royal Birkdale off the yellow tees
✔️ Play off your full England Golf handicap
✔️ Submit your final score to the team after your round
✔️ If you beat the pro scores, you’ll be entered into the end-of-month prize draw

How to enter

✔️ Members enter for FREE
✔️ Non-members: £40 per person
✔️ Book via YourGolfBooking, through our website
✔️ Competition runs throughout July 2026
✔️ The prize draw will be done in the first week of August, and we will be in touch with the winners

What a great day! ⛳️

It was a pleasure to be part of the Sheffield United Corporate Golf Day at Abbeydale Golf Club ( Abbeydale Golf Club )

Fringe Golf Sheffield were proud to sponsor the 10th Tee, hosting our Beat the Pro – Nearest the Pin Challenge, with our very own Ben Mason taking on all challengers. Some incredible golf was on display, and we’re not sure Ben missed the green once! 👏🔥

A huge congratulations to all of the prize winners, and thank you to everyone who came over to have a go and say hello.

We’ve had a fantastic day meeting so many people and are delighted to have been part of such a brilliant event.

A big thank you to our neighbours at Sheffield United, team Fringe and everyone at Abbeydale Golf Club for hosting such a great day. We can’t wait to do it all again!
