This week we are showcasing beers from Madrid's finest, . Founded in 2018 by two Brits, who had been working at Ansbach & Hobday, inspired to move to Spain while they still could. With former Garage Brewing head brewer Joe moving up from Barca, and a few years contract brewing under their belt they opened their own brewery in Madrid in 2024. In their words, they brew 'Beers for the curious and the nonconformist, for those willing to savor life and enjoy all its nuances, textures, contrasts, and shades'.

We have two mega refreshing fruit sours, a table pale ale, both West Coast and New England IPA and a Helles Lager coming onto the taps, plus the kitchen are rustling up a couple of tapas for the food board.

Salud!

We may not serve Guinness on St Patrick's day, or any other day. But that doesn't mean you can't get your fix of lovely, creamy stout from one of Ireland's independent breweries here this week. And no, we don't mean Heineken's Murphy's or Beamish, either.

Look out for the likes of , and on the Nitro line, with other styles from some of Ireland's finest breweries gracing the other keg taps too. Plus lots of indie produced Irish Whiskey available too, making sure once again there ain't no snakes round here this Paddy's day... 🐍

Two unrelated things happening at a similar time. Pretty standard here, really.

At lunchtime Sunday 22nd February apparently there's a pretty big football match at Bramall Lane, so we are opening at 11am. Time for the usual ball outside the pub photo.

Then, from Monday 23rd February it's
We have several Belgian beers coming on draught over the week, as do our sibling pubs and

Pick up a 'stamp' card, have a half or a third of all 6 beers on the card, across the three pubs, get them ticked off. Win some Belgian beer tat. Simple.

The evening of Robert Burns is upon us, signalling the start of 'Scottish Week' here at the Rutty!

On the food menu, Haggis and Rumbledethumps with limited edition Buckfast gravy or In House Vegan Mushroom Haggis and limited edition vegan irn bru gravy. For pudding, Rhubarb Cranachan, and a peaty whisky treacle tart.

On the beer front the delicious Organic Scotch Ale is a perfect accompaniment to the haggis, or Totem Of Skulls Morello Cherry sour ale to cut through the dessert with plenty more Scottish brews hitting the pumps soon from the likes of and

For those doing Dry January, fear not, as Black Isle Halo alcohol free organic IPA is on hand in the fridge.

Plus, of course, plenty of Single Malt Whisky (and even a single grain) to help raise a toast to the man (partly) responsible for Auld Lang Syne. Don't forget we're having a little Burns inspired whisky tasting over at on Thursday 29th, 8pm, £25 a ticket.

Beer events coming up!

Friday 23rd January sees the arrival of The Trade Project. The purveyors of epic beer have teamed up with three of the UK's best brewers, .brewing , and to make three ridiculously tasty IPA's. Then they brought in Swedish smoothie merchants, for a veritable orchard of a sour beer.

Following hot on the heels of this, in tribute to the wit, talent and legacy of Scotland's most famous exciseman we have a Scottish beer tap takeover from Sunday 25th January. Casks and kegs from some of Scotland's finest, including and . Everything from traditional malty Scottish ales to hazy IPAs, fruit sours and imperial stout. Our kitchen will be rustling up some dishes to pair with the beer, too!

Oh and if that's not enough over at the on Thursday 29th there's a special Robert Burns inspired whisky tasting.

It's what Rabbie would want, we're sure
