Wadsley House Social Club We’re a friendly social club in the heart of Wadsley, S6 — hosting celebrations, events, live music & regular family fun days.

Proudly member-owned, with new members always welcome 🤝 Wadsley House Social Club is a private members’ club steeped in over 90 years of history and tradition, whilst still providing modern facilities for its members. The club has a friendly and relaxed atmosphere which attracts both male and female members and also a wide range of age groups. The lounge area has comfortable seating, wide screen TV and access to the bar which has an excellent variety of beers, lagers, wines, spirits and soft-drinks at reasonable prices. The lounge also plays host to the weekly Tuesday Night Quiz. The club has a separate snooker room with two full sized snooker tables and direct access to the bar. The games room has a TV, 3/4 sized snooker table, pool table and dart board that all the family can enjoy. The club is located in its own attractive grounds which include a car park, bowling green, pavilion and outdoor seating area. The club also has a down stairs function room which can be hired for Weddings, Dinner Dances, Private Parties, Christenings and Funeral Receptions. The club is always happy to welcome new members!

The football is back!

Join your fellow Wednesday fans and us this Saturday in our downstairs bar as Sheffield Wednesday take on Bolton Wanderers in the EFL Cup First Round.

We'll be open from 12 noon, so come down early, meet up with friends and soak up the pre-match atmosphere before making the short walk to Hillsborough.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part in the Wadsley Charity Treasure Hunt on Saturday.

It was fantastic to see so many people out and about exploring the streets of our wonderful community, enjoying the clues, working together as teams and supporting such a worthwhile cause.

A very special thank you goes to our resident community quizmaster, whose hard work, creativity and dedication made the event possible. Planning and organising something like this takes a great deal of time and effort, and it certainly didn't go unnoticed. Your commitment to bringing the community together is very much appreciated.

Our thanks also go to The Green Shop for kindly donating the winning prize, and to all the local businesses and venues that supported the event in different ways.

We're delighted to report that £117.45 was raised for the S6 Foodbank – a fantastic result that will help support local people and families. Every pound raised will make a difference.

Finally, thank you to everyone who took part, volunteered, donated, shared the event, or helped behind the scenes. Events like this show what can be achieved when a community comes together.

🗺️ WADSLEY CHARITY TREASURE HUNT – THIS SATURDAY! 🔎

Why not gather your friends, family or neighbours and take part in the Wadsley Charity Treasure Hunt this Saturday, 1st August?

A community event supported by local businesses and venues across the area, this promises to be a fun afternoon of clues, exploration and bringing people together, all while raising money for a fantastic local cause.

❤️ All proceeds will go to the S6 Foodbank Charity

📍 Start: Wadsley House Social Club, anytime between 1:00pm and 4:00pm

💷 £5 per team

⚠️ Pre-registration is essential to ensure enough maps and clue sheets are prepared for everyone.

📩 Contact an admin or send us a message to register your team.

🪙 If you have any spare change, please bring it along! There will be S6 Foodbank Charity collection buckets at various points around the Treasure Hunt route, so you can make an additional donation if you'd like to support this fantastic local cause.

🏆 There'll be a prize for the winning team!

Gather your friends, family or neighbours and join us for an afternoon of fun, clues and community spirit!

Follow the clues, explore Wadsley and put your detective skills to the test, all while supporting a fantastic local cause.

🥫 All money raised will go to the S6 Foodbank Charity, helping local families in need.

📋 Pre-registration is essential

To ensure enough maps and clue sheets are prepared for everyone, all teams must register in advance. This will help the Treasure Hunt organisers plan the event and ensure nobody is disappointed on the day.
