Smoked Norwegian sea herring with white pepper and ramson in the tin. And I've done a fresh batch of potted mackerel an all seeing as it went down such a treat last time.

Mum's been in and had the last tin of Sardines a la Tropezienne this afty, so we've made a change on the specials menu. She has opted for White Tuna en escabeche 🐟 πŸ˜‹

I googled it to check instead of eating the stock (don't get high off your own supply right?!). Escabeche is a vinegar-based spiced sauce. Think white wine vinegar πŸ₯‚, peppercorns πŸ§‚, bay leaves 🌿 and paprika 🌢️. Tangy but savoury. Lovely stuff.

Just scrolling through the grid and realised I'd never posted about this, possibly the most popular cocktail of the new menu so maybe there's no need to tell you about it? 🀷

Well it's the Falcao Punch. Inspired by a couple of drinks/meals I had on holiday in Porto last year, it's a wonderfully refreshing and carefully balanced blend of rum, falernum, campari, orgeat, tamarind, pink peppercorn, mango and grapefruit....
...Phwoar that's a lot of ingredients to write down. Don't worry though, we batch up all the booze into one handy mix (the Falcao Punch) so it only takes 2 minutes to make πŸ˜‰

Both absolutely bloody delish and I will be partaking in one myself as a Sunday treat, I humbly suggest you do the same πŸ˜‹

Sunday service now in session...

Reckon there's a few sore heads out there today, so if you're feeling up to it we might just have the cure for you. Bloody Marys, cold shandies, delicious cocktails, ploughman's board, baked camembert, sausage roll.....one or all of those is going to make you feel better I'm sure πŸ˜‚

Open normal hours today, unless it's a mad one before the Paul Heaton gig, might stay open an extra hour or two if so. Let's just play it by ear eh?
