Monqi has recently released her new single ‘saudade’ and we couldn’t be more excited to hear this and her other beautiful music live for her headliner show here at Alder on the 14th of November. Her songs are filled with gorgeous vocals, lyrics, stories, and melodies, with a full band on the night to back it all up.

We also have the amazing Lou Gold joining us as the support act to kick off the night. Her music is a warm and lovely blend of acoustic guitar and poetic lyrics.

It’s going to be a very special night showcasing two artists that play a huge part in the Sheffield indie folk music scene, and we can’t wait.

THIS WEEK AT ALDER ♥️♥️

Tuesday  is hosting a history themed quiz and we’ve got a collection of history themed books and vintage knick knacks for our winners. Free entry and starts at 8pm. DM us to reserve a table from 7:30pm

Wednesday is our weekly quiz prizes and it’s national apple day, so we’ll have some autumn baked goods and a selection of apple ciders as prizes. DM us to book a table from 7:30! Free entry & starts at 8pm

Thursday is our monthly night and there will be a selection of performers keeping you entertained all night long. Doors at 7:00pm, starts at 7:30pm. Entry is sliding scale (pay what you can afford) £5-£20. You can purchase tickets via Dandelion events or follow the link in our bio.

Friday and are collabing to bring us a run of three horror and thriller shorts with an introductionary talk about filmmaking and horror, followed by a screening of the classic and must-watch independant demonic horror The Evil Dead (1981). Diy film starts at 7pm, The Evil Dead starts at 8pm, arrive early to get yourself a drink! Tickets can be purchase in ours or bio.

Saturday we’ve got the long awaited gig, the UK’s first and only Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater cover band! Supporting them is and . This is a fully sold out show!

Sunday are back again for another show: This Can’t Be It. It is a semi-improvised, feverish & open hearted exploration of how we stay open—to mystery, to each other—in the midst of uncertainty and collapse. Starts at 7pm. Tickets in our bio or via Dandelion events, £10 Standard (Sliding Scale).

Monday - Our winter hours are back and we are closed tonight (and most Mondays ahead until spring has sprung)

Wednesday - We’ve got our weekly quiz - shed edition. Some great tools up for grab for you lucky winners. Free entry & starts at 8pm

Thursday - Footprints is back again this month, you know the drill - bring your instruments and your talented selves to share with everyone or just come down for a drink and to enjoy the music. Free entry, starts at 7:30pm.

Friday - All the way from across the pond we’ve got Michael Morrow and the Culprits bringing some blues, country, and classic hard rock to Alder. They have recently released their newest album: Rock Candy. Supporting them are Fargo Railroad Company, a Sheffield based southern-rock and Americana band. 8pm start, ticket link in bio

Sunday - are back with a Folk Jam to share some beautiful music that focuses on showcasing the finest traditional singers, folk revival interpreters, and source-style traditional songs from Britain and Ireland. 8pm start, ticket link in bio
