Another afternoon spent at Leicestershire archives 📖

Beth’s continuing to piece together the pubs history by scouring through trade records, census records, maps, newspaper archives and more.

The timeline is nearly filled with past landlords and ladies, including a few other interesting facts. For example, it turns out 3 of the previous landlords (from when it was The New Inn) were also builders/bricklayers!

Don’t forget to drop in or send us your old pictures taken at the pub. We have a photo of Eddie the Eagle visiting The Countryman in 1989 and we’d love to see more of your pub memories.
