The bank holiday tomorrow is LIVE MUSIC MONDAY at The Rising Sun Twitton! What’s more, it’s all provided by our wonderful local talent.

The music starts with The James Kennell band at 3pm. We first met James when he came in after playing cricket locally to sing karaoke and we knew we had to have him in to perform. He’s performed with his band several times since and it’s always a great event

They’ll be followed by Finn, a local singer who’s just starting out as a pub performer. Singing a range of popular favourites from 60s to today, they aim to create an entertaining atmosphere.

This Friday 14th August, chart toppers Chicory Tip will be performing at The Rising Sun Twitton. They’ll be playing hits from throughout the decades and always get us up dancing 🕺

Live music this Saturday with The James Kennell Quartet!

They played for us in December and it was a banging night so let’s see what they bring to the outdoor summer stage.

James Kennell is a local lad and incredibly talented so come along to support - it’s guaranteed to be a brilliant night!

It’s all go here preparing for our 1940s party which will be starting in just under an hour

The fantastic Jean Bentley Band are setting up outside

We’re in the kitchen cooking up our ratio book recipes for you to try, including corned beef fritters, potato scones, Welsh Rarebit, beetroot pancakes and bread and butter pudding. There’s no cost to try the food but we’re asking you to put something into one of our charity donation pots.

And we’ll be serving up classic ‘40s cocktails including Pink Gin, Sidecars, Giblets, French 75 and Mai Tais
