A beautiful inn in the Yorkshire Dales with ten contemporary and luxurious bedrooms. We offer relaxed dining in the comfortable restaurant as well as a cosy bar with local ales and interesting wines. Fully refurbished and reopened under a new team in autumn 2021. The Plough is perfectly positioned for exploring the Yorkshire Dales and the Forest of Bowland; walkers, cyclists, rock climbers, potholers, golfers and fishermen are all welcome. The inn is within driving distance of Settle, Clitheroe and Skipton for those wanting to visit a typical market town. Our food is seasonal and made with locally sourced ingredients. They'll be delighted to settle down in front of a roaring fire after a long walk in the Dales. The Plough also caters for weddings, parties and celebrations in our conservatory which overlooks the lawns and the valley beyond.

We’re absolutely delighted that The Plough has been named Best Pub AND Best Rural Pub in the 2026 Local Pub Awards!

A huge thank you to everyone who nominated us and voted for us. We know lots of you got behind us when we shared the awards earlier this month, and it genuinely means a great deal to the whole team.

We’re incredibly proud of The Plough - the food that comes out of our kitchen, the people who look after you, our lovely pub and rooms, and the wonderful community of locals and visitors who support us.

Awards are lovely, but knowing that these were voted for by you makes this one particularly special.

🌿 Farmers Market saver menu – enjoy 2 courses for £20 or 3 for £25, available today, Friday and Saturday from 12–2.30pm and 5–6.30pm.

🐟 Fish Friday – two fresh haddock and chips with peas and homemade tartare sauce for £30, or two prime fish dishes of the day for £40.

🍖 Sunday lunch – gather your favourite people and join us for a choice of delicious dishes, including traditional roasts with all the trimmings.
