🎸👑 WHAT A WEEKEND! 🎸👑
What a weekend we’ve had at the King’s Arms. Live music, brilliant food, birthday celebrations, equestrian visitors & most importantly… so many brilliant people coming through our doors and making the place feel exactly how we hoped it would.

🎶 Birdy & Crandy absolutely smashed it, with two brilliant performances and the perfect soundtrack to our little festival weekend.

🍖 Rack 'n' Roll BBQ were fantastic once again, serving up some seriously good food and keeping everyone well fed.

🎂 And then there was Amos’s birthday. The amount of love, birthday wishes and support you all showed him genuinely blew us away. ❤️ Thank you. It meant more than you lovely lot realise.

🐴 And because apparently we needed one more ingredient to make the weekend complete… a group of beautiful horses and riders stopped by on Sunday! 😂 It was brilliant to see them enjoying a well-earned break in the car park and adding another wonderful moment to the weekend.

We’re still finding our feet, still learning, and want to say a massive thank you to everyone who came along, supported us, danced, ate, drank, laughed, celebrated and generally made the weekend what it was.

We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better one. ❤️

🍰 WE’VE BEEN BUSY BAKING! 🍰

Our homemade bakes have been going down an absolute treat over the last few weeks, and we’ve been so delighted by how popular they’ve been! ❤️

So… we’re keeping the ovens busy and continuing to build up our range, with a changing selection of sweet treats available to enjoy here with a hot or cold drink, or take away for later. ☕️🧁

We’re keen to keep things varied, so if there’s a particular cake, bake or sweet treat you’d love to see on the counter, let us know! We’re always happy to take suggestions (and there may be some very good ideas out there that we haven’t thought of yet 😉).

🎱🔥 THE KING’S ARMS PUB POOL LEAGUE – SINGLES! 🔥🎱

Fancy doing something a little different this autumn and winter? 🎱🍻

We’re running our very own King’s Arms Singles Pool League, and looking for players of ALL abilities!

Whether you’re a pool shark, a casual player, someone who plays regularly with friends, or someone who just fancies giving it a go… there’ll be a league for you.

And most importantly, this is about having fun, meeting people and getting our community together at the pub throughout the autumn and winter. ❤️

🎱 THE DETAILS

🏆 3 Singles Leagues, designed to cater for different abilities
👥 Around 10 players per league
💷 £10 entry per player
💰 100% of the entry fees go into the prize fund, with prizes paid to the Top 3 in each league
🎱 18 games per season (9 in each half)
📅 Season starts: 7th September
⏰ First 9 games to be completed by: 30th November
🏁 Season finishes: 22nd February

🎱 HOW DO THE MATCHES WORK?

Matches are Best of 6 frames:

🎱 2 points for a match win
🎱 1 point each for a 3–3 draw
🎱 Once a player wins 4 frames, the match finishes

And here’s the best bit…

🍻🎱 ALL GAMES ARE PAID FOR BY THE KING’S ARMS! 🎱🍻

There’s no fixed night every week, either. You arrange your matches between yourselves and they can be played any day or time while the pub is open, giving everyone plenty of flexibility around work, family and everything else life throws at us.

So why not grab a friend, get your name down and make a bit of a night of it? 🍻🎱

Whether you’re playing to win, playing for the prize money or simply playing for the craic, we’d love to get as many local people involved as possible!
