The majestic Beer Luggers can be seen racing in the summer on Monday nights and are a direct link with the village's colourful (and not always law abiding) past! They will be rigging from 5pm tonight and launching just before 6pm so do come and enjoy this unique Beer tradition.

Not all of the best festival moments happen in a concert hall.

From Monday 29 June, Temple Gardens at Wesley’s Café comes alive with six days of free outdoor music, running every day until Saturday 4 July. Twenty-two different acts will take to the garden across the week, spanning folk, pop, blues, jazz and plenty more besides. Something for everyone, with no ticket required.

Community Music at Temple Gardens is supported by Budleigh Music Festival and funded by the Creative East Devon Fund. There’ll be a bucket collection each day in aid of Launchpad, and flyers on the High Street with all the details

Whatever the weather, a visit to Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary is a lovely outing! It’s free to park, free entry and lots of great walks, a cafe, shop and even a Chelsea garden!

Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens are about 50 minutes away but with over 30 acres, 6000 species from across the world and a great chance to buy plants, it’s well worth a visit. Described as a ‘Plantman’s Garden’, this world renowned paradise is unique and visiting can be combined with the chance to visit the Abbotsbury Swannery or we would suggest dropping in to Bridport. Bridport has a wealth of independent shops, a Saturday market and the innovative restaurant Soul Shine.

Looking for last minute availability? We only have the option of days between Saturday 30th May to Saturday 6th June … and then happily busy till September. We’d love to see you!

For info we are a period end of cottage home from home with four bedrooms (one king, two doubles and a single so we sleep 6 comfortably), two bathrooms and two lounges plus kitchen diner. We are dog friendly and only minutes flat walk from the beach and the South West Coast Path.

The Town Mill in Lyme has a fantastic programme of events for Mill Fest - which runs right across the Bank Holiday weekend.

They are hosting a free celebration - marking 25 fantastic years since Town Mill re-opened to the public and started milling flour again… they have something for everyone from heritage craftsmen and women, special pop-up events from milling to jewellery making plus talks and tastings - all with a background of live music plus eats and drinks.
