What a fantastic send off we had in pub last night, massive thanks to everyone who gave us so much support. Very emotional night but we have made some great friends and have extended our family, so now it's onwards and upwards...once again thankyou to Alex Bailes for putting your heart and soul into the pub Harry Bailes for helping us out so much all the amazing singers we have had in there, Sonny Applegarth and Adam Scollen, Rhiannon Marshall Auld Man's Baccie Brenda Musson Sunshine Joe, Holly Tarrent to name but a few. Rhi we really need a copy of your amazing song 😁

Sorry for the late post here, we’ve just received the certificate today, and wanted to show our appreciation for everyone who joined us for our fundraiser.

I’m so thankful to you all for helping us raise so much for such a small pub and i couldn’t be happier and more proud of our community for raising this much for such a good cause.

Thank you, from the heart. And our thoughts are forever with you, Ray.

It is with a great amount of sadness I make this post to you all.

Unfortunately we will be closing for good from Monday.

I’d like to thank you all who have supported us and shared some great memories over the last couple of years. It’s been a crazy ride and a chapter I will always remember fondly.

We’ve made some great friends, and welcomed many lovely people in our time here. However it’s just become unviable with the current state of the industry so I guess all things must come to an end.

We will be open all weekend and are having one final open mic buskers night this Sunday!

We hope you can make it and give the Coalhouse the send off it deserves.

What a great night last night was at our Charity night, absolutely blown away at the generous donations and everybody who donated, a lot of fun was had .....a huge shout out to the help behind the bar, Alex Bailes and Harry Bailes kept it moving along but they had great back up from Holly Tarrent and our apprentice Luca. At todays count we have raised over £700 for St Benedicts hospice......Ray Appleby for you mate

We're in the Coalhouse again Saturday 7th June, supporting the charity evening in aid of St Benedicts Hospice and tribute to the lovely Ray Appleby, plenty going on, we'll be supporting the fantastic Auld Mans Baccie hopefully a great night for all....

Tomorrow night we are hosting a charity night for St Benedicts hospice who looked after one òf our own Ray Appleby ....we have live music from various artists a raffle with some amazing prizes plus there will be chances to win some cash with our football and name the duck cards. Music will kick off at 6.30pm, pub opens at 3pm.... get in early for a seat as this will get very busy very quickly
