. SATURDAY 24 - ‘TOP OF THE BRITPOPS’ - CANCELLED .
With regret, the committee have decided to unfortunately cancel the event on Saturday 24 September. The past few events have been poorly attended and have been a loss maker for the club . These events are organised to try and boost the clubs coffers, but are having the reverse effect . This is NO reflection whatsoever on the bands that have played for us, they have all been fantastic !
Our last event at the end of July was marred by a couple of ‘incidents’ - incidents that are still being dealt with by the committee, this has led to insults and accusations towards the committee. None of the committee are paid for their services or their time, they like you, are members of the club and want the club to succeed in what are proving to be very difficult times .
The ‘Britpops’ night was going to be a fantastic night, but there have been threats to spoil the night, this is something we just can’t allow to happen, so reluctantly this is the action the committee has taken .
We’d like to apologise to our members for any disappointment due to the cancellation.
