It is with great sadness that we share the passing of one of our much-loved regulars, James “Jim” Shaw.

Jim was a familiar face here at Ironstone Wharf and will be fondly remembered by many. Over the years, he brought people together and shared his passion for dominoes, patiently teaching and inspiring countless youngsters who will carry those memories with them.

His presence, warmth, and stories will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Jim’s funeral will be held at Scunthorpe Crematorium at 10:40am on Thursday 9th April. Following the service, we will be holding a celebration of his life here at Ironstone Wharf, where all are welcome to come together, share memories, and raise a glass in his honour.

Our thoughts are with Jim’s family and friends at this difficult time.
