💙 Gentle reminder 💙
There is a drop-off point for this wonderful charity in the front porch of The Ironstone Wharf.
If you're having a clear-out, please consider donating your unwanted clothes. Every donation helps us support The Clothing Bank and the people who need it most.
Today, The Clothing Bank has been reviewing its list of lads and lasses due to start college this September. 😢
Heartbreakingly, they are having to turn some young people away for the first time. This is something they never wanted to happen, but with demand at an all-time high, they simply don't have the resources to help everyone.
For now, they have made the difficult decision to focus on supporting students attending colleges across Yorkshire. They currently have 396 young people on their list and are determined to help every one of them. 🤞
To do that, they urgently need:
👖 2,772 pairs of jeans or joggers
👕 2,772 tops
🧥 1,188 hoodies
🩲 2,772 pairs of underwear
🧦 2,772 pairs of socks
👟 396 pairs of trainers
🎒 396 bags and backpacks
🧥 396 jackets
Every one of these young people has working parents, but they don't qualify for support anywhere else. Many families are doing everything they can, yet still can't afford the essentials needed for their children to start college.
