Pub History

In June 2018, Portcullis Pub Co purchased the Penny Bank Pub.

Before being renamed The Penny Bank it was well known as The Mint.

Prior to becoming a pub it had been used as a bank since 1926.

The pub started life in 1988 as The Mint after local businessman converted the former Yorkshire and Barclays Banks branch. It has also traded as The Bishop Blaize under Derby-based Rutherford Inns.
