Live jazz every Wednesday at The Crescent Lounge, 1 Belvoir Terrace, Scarborough YO11 2PP Scarborough Jazz puts on gigs below The Cask Inn every Wednesday evening bringing to the town some of the finest jazz musicians from the region to guest with the house trio, and regular special gigs by nationally and even internationally known jazz stars. We keep prices as affordable as we can as we want as many people as possible to enjoy the music, and students are always half price. No membership is required - just pop along and enjoy the music,
good beer and friendly atmosphere. In 2022 we're continuing our 'New Jazz Generation' project where we invite the areas young musicians to play support slots - they're creating quite a buzz on their own.

We're expecting this to be popular...

Already noted for her performances in venues around the area, singer Beth Harrop first sang in a support spot at Scarborough Jazz earlier this year after pianist Mark Gordon asked if she might like to try her hand at some jazzier repertoire.

She was a big hit with our audience and so we're delighted to be presenting a full evening of Beth with our house band plus guest saxophonist Stuart MacDonald on Wednesday 16th September.

All are welcome for an evening of standards and jazzy takes on popular music from the 60s onwards. It'll be just £5/2.50 on the door - no advance tickets for this gig.
