A Family-owned and Run Free House

When we bought this pub from Greene King in March 2017, it was old, tired and in dire need of some TLC. It had stopped serving food - and no wonder! The kitchen was in a completely dilapidated state and most of the equipment didn’t work. With a little imagination, a limited budget and a great deal of hard work, fast forward to July 2017 and The Duncombe Arms was ready to open its doors again. Owned by Chris and Catherine Rose, the pub is run and managed by their eldest son Daniel who is passionate about fine dining and cooking great dishes. Front of house is managed by Dan’s younger brother Jamie. Please continue to support village pubs. We can’t survive without you! And we hope you will enjoy visiting us in picturesque Waresley.
