Driftwood Beach Bar Beach Bar & restaurant and live music The name changes depending on where you are. Driftwood is the classic building material...and that is where I started...

In Goa they are called ‘Shacks’,in Mexico ‘Palapas’, in France ‘Clubs’, in Spain ‘Chiringuitos’, iin Greece ‘Tavernas’, in the U.S.A & Caribbean simply ‘Beach Bars’. But the function is the same, to provide their clientele with sufficient food & drink, for a long hard day on the beach, while at the same time acting as the beach’s social focus & mood setter. Any beach bar worth the name should have sand underfoot and a general feeling of impermanence.
