Mid Vault Mini Ranking Series – Night 1 (Thursday Night)

With the Vaults currently on a break, we kicked off our Mini Ranking Series, with each event contributing valuable points leading up to Finals Night.

24 players. 4 oches. 4 groups. You know the score let's get into it!

What a night we had in the group stages! Not a single group was clear-cut, with every group going right down to the final few matches before we knew which two players would progress to the quarter-finals.

🌟 Group Stage Highlight
A huge shoutout to Steve Slater , who produced a fantastic 170 checkout against Danny Kelly a moment that had everyone talking!

Quarter-Finals

🎯 Jordan Matthews vs Carl Merryweather
🎯 Harvey Troy vs Steve Slater
🎯@ Paul Calvert vs Gareth Lewis
🎯 Charles Winspear vs Harvey Bothroyd

Semi-Finals

Both semi-finals ended in convincing 3-0 victories, setting up a blockbuster final. Would we see another Winspear vs Matthews showdown, or could someone else step up to the oche?

The Final

πŸ† Charles Winspear vs Jordan Matthews πŸ†

Charles was looking to extend his impressive winning streak, but Jordan had other ideas. Neither player made things easy for the other, with every leg proving crucial in a fantastic seven-leg final that kept everyone on the edge of their seats.

πŸ₯‡ Winner: Jordan SuperBear Matthews Darts results
πŸ₯ˆ Runner-Up: Charles Winspear

Congratulations to all players who took part and made Night 1 such a great success!

🎯 Sunday Night Darts at The Railway Arms, Brotton 🎯

Sunday night saw us say goodbye to Vault 17.0 and also complete the first vault in our new home at The Railway Arms.

Firstly, we'd like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has supported us throughout this vault. From the players who took part each week, to our sponsors, and everyone who came along to watch and support you've all helped make Vault 17.0 another fantastic success.

Now, back to the action...

A total of 24 players took to the oche, and with some incredibly tough competition throughout the night, only 8 players managed to make it through the group stages

Quarter Finals

Charles Winspear defeated Simon Laity 3-0

Carl Merryweather took on mr Steel Darts Redcar himself and secured his place in the semi-finals

Dave matthews overcame Ben Winspear, ensuring we wouldn't see an all-Winspear final

Jordan Matthews and Adam Winspear played out a fantastic match that went all the way to the deciding leg, with Jordan booking his place in the semi-finals

Semi Finals

Charles Winspear vs Carl Merryweather

Jordan Matthews vs Dave Matthews

Both semi-finals finished 3-1, but who would battle through to the final?

The Final

A final we've seen before, although not for a few weeks. When these two meet on the big stage, you know you're in for some quality arrows.

Charles Winspear vs Jordan Matthews

Winner: Charles Winspear

Runner-Up: Jordan SuperBear Matthews Darts results

Congratulations to Charles on another fantastic performance, and well done to Jordan for another great run to the final.

A huge well done to everyone who took part throughout the evening and across the whole of Vault 17.0.

Our monthly Youth Competition was in full swing run for their money. The standard on display was outstanding throughout the day.

The final saw Harvey Troy take on Theo Briggs in a brilliant match. Both players are regulars in our main events and always produce quality darts, and today was no different. Neither player was willing to make it easy for the other, creating a closely contested and entertaining final from start to finish.

πŸ† Winner – Theo Briggs
πŸ₯ˆ Runner-Up – Harvey Troy

A huge well done to everyone who took part today. The future of darts is certainly looking bright!

A special thank you to Carl Merryweather , who took the reins today and ran the tournament. We really appreciate everything you do for the youth setup and the vault nights . Your dedication, hard work and support do not go unnoticed, and we're incredibly grateful for all that you do.

And, as always, a massive thank you to our amazing sponsors. Your continued support makes these youth tournaments possible, and we couldn't do it without you.

🎯 Thursday Night Darts – The Vault 17.0 🎯

With only a few days left of The Vault 17.0, everyone was out for those last crucial points as the race for the title heats up!

We kicked off the night with a full house of 24 lads and lasses, split into 4 groups of 6, all battling it out for a place in the knockout stages.

Group Winners
β€’ Charles Winspear – 5 wins from 5
β€’ Richard Major – 5 wins from 5
β€’ Harvey Troy – 4 wins from 5
β€’ Carl Merryweather – 4 wins from 5

Quarter Finals
β€’ Charles Winspear fought off James Mitchell to keep his hopes of back-to-back Vault titles alive.
β€’ Paul Calvert ended Carl Merryweather's dreams of reaching the final.
β€’ Richard Major continued his dominant form, taking a 3-leg victory over David Brown.
β€’ Ben Winspear took on Harvey Troy and secured his place in the semi-finals with a 3-1 win.

Semi Finals
Could Paul Calvert and Richard Major conquer the Winspear brothers, or were we destined to see a repeat of the group stages between Ben and Charles?

πŸ†The Final
Charles Winspear vs Ben Winspear

It was a Winspear showdown!

Charles came flying out of the blocks, taking the opening leg with a superb 137 checkout. He didn't stop there either, smashing in a 180 followed immediately by a 140, leaving Ben stranded on 290.

Ben battled hard and looked to force another leg, but Charles had other ideas as he powered his way to victory.

πŸ₯‡ Winner: Charles Winspear
πŸ₯ˆ Runner-Up: Ben Winspear

πŸ‘ Well done to everyone who took part and made it another fantastic night of darts.

We go again on Sunday for the final night of The Vault 17.0 series. Who will finish strong and who will be crowned champion?

🎯 See you all at the oche!

πŸ”₯ The Vault 17.0 πŸ”₯
Once again, what a fantastic night of darts at The Railway Arms! High scores, brilliant games, and an incredible atmosphere all night long

With the Premier League Darts on the TVs, the tension around the room was unreal from start to finish.

As always, we kicked things off with 4 groups but you all know the score by now… only the top 2 from each group could book their place in the knockout stages

Quarter Finals
The quarter finals produced some top-quality darts, including a brilliant match between two of the younger lads:
Harvey Troy v Oliver Meikle
A cracking game and great to watch for everyone in the venue

Semi Finals
The Winspear brothers were both in action alongside Harvey and Carl Merryweather, with Carl still chasing his first Vault victory at The Railway Arms.
The standout semi-final stats included:
πŸ’₯ 2 x 180s
πŸ’₯ 6+ x 140s
πŸ’₯ 5+ x 100s
Carl certainly wasn’t making things easy for Charles!

THE FINAL
Charles Winspear v Ben Winspear
A Winspear brother showdown!
After already meeting in the group stages earlier in the night, we knew this final was going to deliver and it absolutely did.
Charles was looking to regain his title, while Ben was determined to secure his first Vault win at The Station 🎯

Special mention to Ben Hutchinson for the Premier League-style score announcing all night… honestly felt like we were on the big stage!

πŸ₯‡ Winner β€” Charles Winspear
πŸ₯ˆ Runner-Up β€” Ben Winspear

🎯 Sunday Night Darts at The Railway Arms, Brotton 🎯
πŸ”₯ The Vault 17.0 πŸ”₯

We started the night strong with the usual 4 groups some with 5 players, some with 6 and with the quality on show, nobody was going to have an easy route through!

Well… unless your name was Simon Laity
Simon absolutely dominated his group, winning every game without dropping a single leg!

Quarter Final Results
β€’ Max Sampson ended Simon Laity’s incredible winning streak
β€’ Dave Matthews stopped Charles Winspear from going back-to-back with wins
β€’ Shaun Matthews took out Carl Dunning
β€’ Carl Merryweather ended Ste Slater’s hopes of another final appearance

Semi Finals
Could Max stop Carl Merryweather’s charge to the final?
And who would come out on top in the Matthews showdown β€”Dad or Son? πŸ‘€

πŸ”₯ THE FINAL πŸ”₯
Carl Merryweather v Shaun Matthews

Shaun was chasing his second Vault title at the railway arms, while Carl was hunting his firstever Vault win at The Railway Arms.

Both players threw some fantastic darts and kept each other on their toes throughout the match. Going into the deciding 3rd leg, it was 1-1… but who was going to find those big scoring visits when it mattered most?

πŸ₯‡ Winner: Shaun Matthews
πŸ₯ˆ Runner-Up: Carl Merryweather

Massive well done to everyone who came down and took part

πŸ”₯ The Vault 17.0 πŸ”₯

Another night of fantastic darts and an amazing atmosphere as always!

We saw some strong performances throughout the group stages, setting up some brilliant quarter-final matches.

Quarter Finals Highlights:
β€’ Ste Slater knocked Shaun Matthews out of the running with a brilliant 3-2 victory.
β€’ Carl Merryweather continued his strong form with a solid 3-1 win over Alan Oakley.

Semi Finals:
β€’ Ste Slater vs Dylan Harris
β€’ Charles Winspear vs Carl Merryweather

But who would make the final?

FINAL:
Charles Winspear v Ste Slater

Two very strong players, both no strangers to finals, and with very little difference in averages, this one could have gone either way.

Even after losing the first leg, Ste stayed right on Charles’ heels, battling hard and keeping the pressure on throughout.

πŸ₯‡ Winner: Charles Winspear
πŸ₯ˆ Runner Up: Steve Slater
