It’s been a full-on year, and we really appreciate everyone who’s stuck with us and continues to support a small, independent, family-owned business.

The Cap’s brilliant staff (and me!) need a bit of a break, but we’re already looking forward to September — with YardFest (12–13 Sept), Saltaire Festival (19–20 Sept), and then gearing up for our 11th Oktoberfest (2–4 Oct)! 🍻

🍏 P I L T O N 🍎

I was really sad to find out that Pilton C***r is being wound up after 16 years of making some truly stunning c***r.

I mentioned to Martin that some of my favourite “moments” whilst owning the Cap have come from opening a bottle of his c***r. There’s something special about sharing a bottle of something you know has been made with such care, skill and passion.

Sixteen years is an incredible achievement, and Pilton has certainly left its mark on Somerset c***r and the wider UK c***r scene. It will be hugely missed.

We’ve restocked on bottles of Pomme Pomme (keeved c***r with quince 😮‍💨) and Mr Brown (crisp and fruity) - once they’re gone, they’re gone.

We’ve also bagged a couple of kegs of Pomme Pomme one of which is pouring now - if you want to know what good c***r tastes like, come and give it a go!

No tap takeover. No residency. Just a whole lot of great b**r making its way into our regular lineup. There’s plenty to explore and plenty to enjoy!

This year, we’re switching things up!

Every month, we’re bringing in a load of b**rs from a different brewery — not a tap takeover, not a residency… just more of the breweries we’re loving, pouring through our regular lineup.

Good b**r. Better value. A different brewery every month.

This month we’re shining the spotlight on and there was only one rule when ordering…

If it had “Assassin” in the name, it was coming in.

The result? A full selection of Assassin b**rs. Different styles, different strengths, different flavours and one of our all time favourites, Baby Faced Assassin.

Mango Hazy Assassin and Baby Faced Assassin are both currently pouring.

We’ve Peculier Assassin (a Theakston x Rooster’s collab) and Double Hazy Assassin both in cans - perfect for takeout!
