The Old Inn, Allington The Old Inn is a freehold traditional village pub situated 8 miles north of Salisbury on the A338. Serving Real Ale, good Wine and chilled Lager and Cider.

Situated in the beautiful Bourne Valley in the rolling Wiltshire countryside. Listed in the 1851 census as The Roadside Inn, within 10 years it was renamed to The New Inn, then by 1871 it took the name The Old Inn - by which it is still lovingly known today. Traditional pub food is available but must be pre-booked. We run special evenings which include : Quizzes, Buffets, Fun Evenings and Live Music Nights

Our heartfelt sorrow goes to the family of Ray Bulpitt who sadly passed away on Thursday 8th July peacefully in his sleep. Ray will be fondly remembered by our quiz participants as always being so pleased once he'd got one his one question right. This wonderful man will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him.

Oh, now it's getting interesting, but it's OK as Ray got his one answer in straight away !

Having carried out a stringent risk assessment; for the safety of both our patrons and staff, the decision has been made that we will not be reopening on May 17th 2021. We hope that you appreciate and understand that our limited facilities and resources, coupled with personal constraints have been taken into consideration during the making of this determination. We will continue to monitor the ongoing COVID situation and the current Government regulations on a regular basis, so that we can open again when it is deemed sufficiently safe to do so.

PM if you'd like to donate and / or have a poppy / have a memorial included in our window. We may not be open but we'll do what we can to help such a worthy cause.
