Boards Of Canada -
A gentle collision of faded memories, analogue ghosts, woodland transmissions and impossible nostalgia. Music that feels unearthed rather than composed. Like finding an old photograph of a childhood you don’t remember having.

INFERNO - The first new release in thirteen years.
To put that into perspective: when their last record arrived, Instagram was mostly photos of breakfast, TikTok didn’t exist, and half the artists currently citing Boards of Canada as an influence were still in school.

Some albums are releases.

This feels more like the reappearance of a long-lost object.

Healthy. Mango, Banana, Kiwi and Spirulina. 5.5% fruit beer. Bright green. The end.

Vault City - Rapberry Blueberry Bubblegum Bottles
Sour as you like, stains your tongue blue. Blue babyyyyyyy.

Chouffe Cherry
The classic back on tap. Cherry and almond bursting from the seems. Drinks like ribena.

Sips 4.0 RE-CAP

Old friends and new. Memories refreshed and made. Good vibes flowing faster than the beer from the taps. What an evening. And it’s all down to you!

Sips is a project focused around community. Yes it’s a bar, yes we sell beer, but its sole intention has always been to create an environment where people can feel safe and welcome. Where you can let your hair down without worry or concern. Without pressure to act or pose. A place of beer, and love.

This landmark celebration was no exception to the rule. We saw beer hunters travelling from afar to taste our array of rarities on tap, and locals filling the bar primed and ready to dance the night away. And that the did, good feeling and kind souls surrounded us all night long.

Our DJ’s as always smashed the brief, and took us on an audio journey like on other. Hats off to Granny Franks for playing a stellar set - what an absolute honour it is to have you among us 🙏

The team behind it all; Jacob, Melissa, Chewie, James, Emma, Harriet, Lula - perhaps the smoothest run event to date?! Special thanks to Emma, Harriet and Lula who suffered trial by fire of sorts, being nearly their first shifts behind a bar. They absolutely nailed it. Maximum respect.

Videos and photos will never do it justice - so I guess you’ll have to just come along next time…?

Here’s to 4 years of Sips, and here’s to whatever the future may hold…!

Here she is… part two of our tap menu for Sips 4.0

Celebrating the big, the bold, the beastly. Here you’ll find rarities and oddities… Some@of these beers are perhaps the last kegs in existence!

8- Mortalis - Hydra (Mango Cherry Kiwi)
US import smoothie sour. One of the best breweries going for this style of sour, only the second time we’ve had one of their beers on our taps.

9- Kasteel - Tropical
Does this need an introduction…? Expect lilt on steroids. If you’ve had this before, you know what you’re in for. Juice.

10- Cantillon - Fou Foune
When posed with the opportunity to grace one’s taps with the liquid gold that is Cantillon, one does not turn down the offer. When it is Fou Foune, one should jump at that chance with great and unbound energy. This is just what Jacob did. Fou Foune, on tap in Salisbury. Yes.

11- Ayinger - Celebrator
Another classic is back. A prime German doppelbock with a name to suit the occasion, this is a treacle treat in chuggable form.

12- Tynt Meadow X La Trappe X Zundert - Three Rules
The last keg in the wild…? Jacob’s been holding onto this one for over a year now, waiting for the right moment. A fine Trappist ale, and perhaps the last time you’ll ever get to drink it.

13- Vault City - Caramel Wafer
Our most popular imperial stout of all time. This time last year we sold 5 kegs back to back, in the space of time we’d normally sell 2. So here she is, the last in existence. Another final opportunity to remember this sublime black gold.

14- Omnipollo X Monkish - BA Coconut Space Brownie
It wouldn’t be a a Sips party without some Omnipollo. But this isn’t just any beer from the Swedish gods, no, this is big. Monkish see on a tap menu in the uk is a rarity not to shy away from. This is a treat, from us to you.

Cask- Arbor - ZZ Hop
The king is back, straight from the barrel.

This Saturday Sips celebrates 4 years of serving Salisbury 🍻

Jacob has poured his heart into selecting this menu. Fresh hops, Sips favourites, easy drinking bliss and bold flavours too. The first half of this years menu represents favourites and easy drinkers. From Chimay’s silky smooth Belgian Gold, to Parish’s scarily chuggable double IPA, super hopped version of Ghost In The Machine - air freighted to your cup (sorry environment).

Our DJ’s are geared up and ready with a full roster ready to please. With one last surprise addition to the line up that is sure to bring a bounce to your step and a smile to your face… more on that later..

For now, enjoy a peak at the first seven beers you’ll be sipping this Saturday…

Sips 4.0 — 04.04

Four years of Sips.

What started as a small idea has grown into something far bigger than we ever imagined. Not just a bar, but a space shaped by people, music, and moments that have stayed with us.

This one feels special.

On April 4th, we’re celebrating the only way we know how.. with the people who made Sips what it is. Every DJ on the lineup is part of our community. No outsiders, no fillers, just friends, residents, and familiar faces behind the decks, from open to close.

Alongside that, we’ve put together one of the most carefully curated beer menus we’ve ever done. Some of our all-time favourites, some things we’ve chased for a long time, and a few surprises we’ve been saving for the right moment.

And then there’s the number 4.

Jacob’s favourite number. Always has been. Maybe it means something, maybe it doesn’t but it feels like the right time to lean into it.

Four years of Sips. One day to celebrate it properly.
