The Friar’s Sharing Pie.

It might still be warm out, but we’re itching to get back to cosy season. Who can resist the BIGGEST PIE in the North? Including sides + gravy, these bad boys feed 2-4 people (or one if you think you’re hard enough).

Eat a whole one to yourself (sides too!) and we’ll pay for you b**rs all night. Book a table as usual online and select your pie via the booking form.

Available all day, every weekday (and until 5pm on Saturdays). Must be pre-ordered 24hrs in advance.

Big congrats to our Alessandro and his new husband Jamie as they celebrate their wedding day! We’re missing our ray of sunshine but wishing him all the love today 💕 . The Black Friar X Boddingtons Cask

By ‘eck, there’s more! After a brilliant evening back in May, our Boddies Dinner is back! Celebrate the Cream of Manchester with a special tasting dinner, pairing the iconic b**r with specially curated dishes by Chef Ben Chaplin.

Join us and the JW Lees Brewery Head Brewer as we discover more about the rich history, brewing process and Salford roots of the iconic Boddingtonscask 🍻🐝. As the oldest Boddingtons pub in the world, we can’t wait to find out more about The Black Friar connection, too!
