Plant-based breakfast from Blossom by La Turka. Unfortunately there was no tofu, so it was replaced with vegan cheese, which seemed like a very odd replacement.

The highlights were the drinks. The oat chai was very good!

We had our first taste of Mexicali Monton on Sunday. It was tasty, but would definitely welcome something more substantial for a filling, perhaps some plant-based chicken or something similar. In any case, still worth a try. Looking forward to going into the restaurant next time and trying their margaritas 🍸

Not got this from Monton, but had to post about this food. Yesterday, we checked out the new Kargo Mkt in Salford Quays. We were pleasantly shocked to find so many vegan and plant-based options available. As such, we had to try out a little something from 4 different places. We will definitely be back to spread our custom amongst the other places and will be trying their food in due course. There are so many options and we were genuinely spoilt for choice.

We went for (all vegan of course)....

Starter -

To start, we went for the Miso Mushroom Dumplings at Wong Dumplings

Main Course -

Checked out Vnam Manchester and went for the Vegan Chicken Pho 🍜

The Vegan Special at House of Habesha which is basically 4 of their Eritrean curries with a choice of rice or injera. We went for the Injera 🇪🇷

Dessert -

To finish, we had the chocolate and bannana dosa from Yak Yum Rotu Kadai Dosa 😍

Come on Monton, let's see if we can do better on the vegan front!
