The touch season draws to a close, and the union season is just beginning but there’s more to being a Spartan than just rugby. We’ve got a full events calendar season to season with plenty of ways to socialise, get involved in the community, and make friends for life.

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of long time supporter of the Spartans and the wider IGR family, Maurice Martin, known to us as Mozza. He has been a regular fixture at IGR events for many years.

Today we remember his welcoming smile and his keen interest in everyone he met. He seemed to never forget a face.
Only recently he generously supported our own fundraising efforts to send a squad to the Bingham Cup in Australia.

The world of inclusive rugby is made darker by his absence. Our thoughts are with his friends and family.
