RAW FEST Manchester

RAW FEST Manchester Launched in May 2012, Raw Fest provides a platform for breakthrough Mancunian artists to showcase original music.

Creating a stage for the city’s young talent, Raw Fest is mini music festival showcasing Manchester's finest RAW talent, from bands and DJs to artists and performers, this year with special guest headliner MR SCRUFF!!!!! It aims to create opportunities for people from Manchester and beyond who are passionate about music, art and live events, whether their talent lies on stage or off stage behind t

he scenes. We welcome solo artists, bands and DJs to perform at our annual event, and also offer the chance for live event production students to help plan and execute the event. The one-day festival on Saturday, 15th June 2013 will promote and support the best unsigned artists from a wide spectrum of genres, provide an opportunity for students at Backstage Academy to run the staging, lighting and sound, and will ultimately see the donation of profits to charities who support our vision. The RAW FEST Manchester team were invited down to Band on the Wall's 4th birthday and The BOTW foundation launch night.

We were delighted to present the two cheques to our charities- The BOTW Foundation (£2260.50) and Backstage Academy (£1130.25).
The evening was hosted by David Guest, who later doubled our £2260.50 contribution to The BOTW Foundation!
