Our homemade Christmas pizzas accompanied by baskets of chicken, chips, kilted sausages with Christmas coleslaw and dips! Free mulled wine/cider or mocktail punch for anyone dressed as Santa or any of his merry helpers! Call or message us to book in and we will take care of the rest! The X1 service bus runs past our door regularly!

Hi folks, with what looks like another driech day ahead here in the Hup, we would just like to politely remind customers that we do strongly advice booking when and wherever possible - we only have a limited about of tables in the bar and we will always try our best to accommodate you, please also note we will not be able to provide service to the outside benches during this type of weather conditions - for obvious reasons - we also will have to temporarily close our peedie conservatory again today. We are very sorry about this but, we aren’t trying to be difficult and it’s really not because we don’t want the customers its just in the good Lords hands and hopefully he will provide us with some sunshine for the weekend ☀️😇 on a brighter note we are fully stocked behind the bar, have plenty of food available and the coffee machine is ready to get to work! 😎

Harray 0-4 South Ronaldsay

The Hope traveled to Harray for the final league match of the season fielding a young side with a sprinkle of experience throughout.

The Hope started brightly passing the ball about well and were rewarded with a goal in the 9th minute when captain for the night Malcolm Mackenzie shot from range with ball going just inside the post.

The play in was stopped for a period around the half hour mark with a Harray player suffering a gash to the knee. The match didn’t have quite the same rhythm to it upon restarting & was fairly scrappy through till half time.

The second half saw the football improve again but the Hope didn’t extend there lead till the 58th minute when Ben Bown finished from a tight angle at the edge of the Harray area. Ben doubled his tally when he scored the Hopes 3rd shortly after.

Scoring for the evening was complete when Johnny Coyle applied the finishing touch to a good Hope move in the 66th minute.

This brings to an end a successful season for the Hope with a league and cup double! Well done to all the players for their efforts over the season.

It’s back to competitive football tonight when South Ronaldsay take on Wanderers in the Thomson cup. The team will be presented with the cup for winning the league after the match.
