The Castle Inn St Ives is the only traditional Real Ale pub situated in the heart of old St Ives. It has traditional pub decor including beamed ceiling, slate floor and a magnificent stained glass window. A friendly mood and a regular crowd identify the Castle Inn as a long-time local’s pub. rs. Teams are a maximum of 5 players and its £1 each to enter. Every Thursday we have a steak ‘n’ Rib night, cooked to perfection by Chef Daz. Every Sunday we have a carvery, Lamb, Beef or Pork, large choice of seasonal veg. After you had a lovely roast we encourage you to stay and have a lazy afternoon with us, listening to live music. We encourage families and dog owners. Most people will read a book on holiday so we have a book corner, you can swap or buy books. Money all go’s to local charities. We have an extensive menu, lunch time we have a menu that takes into account that a lot of people like a small meal, tasty and homemade. Just inside the door we have a specials board, where our chef excels himself. There is vegetarian and vegan option available, just ask the friendly staff at the bar, who will contact the Chef. There is nothing we like better than a party, our staff love to dress for the occasion, and our kitchen will put on an excellent buffet. Call to discuss your party need. Our 2 main events of the year are the annual Easter beer festival starts Good Friday usually lasts 3days. Last year’s event saw over 45 real ales and ciders from breweries all over the country as well as the usual selection of local ales from Skinners & Sharps amongst others. This year we are trying to make the festival a real Cornish affair. The next event is the St.Ives September Festival, when the town comes alive with art, music poetry, and street entertainers.’ We have live music almost every night for 2 weeks. Then there is the now famous New Years Eve Party where people come from all over the world, dress up, and party in the streets, on the beach or in the pubs. Not to be missed.
