We would like to thank St Austell Police and the council Licensing Officer for their work last Friday evening.
We were one of the pubs inspected and the visit was carried out in a fully supportive and professional way.
The drugs issue is so common in our towns and villages thatโs itโs on all of us to try to protect our families, friends and customers from being sucked in.
Thank you again for the professional support.

Last Friday evening officers from the neighbourhood team, our Neighbourhood Support Team and the Special Constabulary carried out a proactive operation in St Austell town centre.
The operation was designed to discourage the use, possession and supply of illegal drugs whilst supporting licensed premises in creating a safe environment for their patrons.
Working alongside a police passive drugs detection dog, officers visited a number of licenced premises.
2 individuals were subject to a positive indication from the police dog and were subsequently found in the possession of suspected controlled drugs for personal use.
Another individual was arrested and detained in police custody on suspicion of possession with intent of supply a controlled drug after being stopped in the street and found in the possession of a significant quantity of suspected co***ne.
Further searches of addresses linked to the individual found further evidence to link him to drug supply together with a suspected taser. The individual was interviewed and bailed pending further enquiries.
We would like to thank licensees and staff for their support.
Excellent work in getting illegal drugs off our streets ๐
