A little TLC goes a long way… 👀⛳

Some of our members may recognise these two Jacobsen Eclipse pedestrian greens mowers...

Generously gifted to the Club some years ago, unfortunately they had fallen out of use and were no longer operational.

We thought that was far too good an opportunity to waste!

Over recent months, we've had both machines assessed and repaired with a huge thank you to one of our members who kindly gave his time and expertise to help get them operational again.

They've now returned from having their cutting units professionally sharpened and, after a cheeky clean and polish, they're looking pretty smart too! ✨

More importantly… they're back out where they belong.

Using pedestrian mowers gives our Greens Team another option when conditions aren't suitable for heavier ride-on machinery, helping to reduce unnecessary traffic and compaction on the greens, minimise surface damage during wetter conditions and provide a high-quality cut.

It's another small but important part of the work taking place to improve and protect our playing surfaces.

Sometimes investment isn't about buying something new, it's about making much better use of what we already have. 🌱

Two machines restored. Back in service. And ready for winter. 💪⛳

A huge thank you again to everyone who has helped bring them back to life.

⛳ 2026 Rotary Golf Day – £7,000 Raised for Mount Edgcumbe Hospice

We were delighted to host the 2026 Rotary Golf Day at St Austell Golf Club – a fantastic day of golf and fundraising for a brilliant cause.

A huge congratulations to Malcolm Harris Plumbing – Martin Honey, Dean Robinson, Luke Patten and Jeff Dillon, who took first place with an excellent 88 points.

They were closely followed by Biscovey Garage in second place with 86 points, and Rowett Insurance in third with 85 points.

Most importantly, an incredible £7,000 was raised on the day for Mount Edgcumbe Hospice – a fantastic achievement!
