Fancy winning a two-course Weekend Treat Menu for two… in exchange for a story? 👀🍽️
Before we get to that, a little bit of Three Horseshoes history… 🐴
You might know us for Sunday roasts, a pint in the garden and probably far too many dog photos… but our pub has been part of Smallford for a very long time.
The oldest part of The Three Horseshoes dates back to the early 18th century — making our little pub more than 300 years old.
In fact, before Smallford became commonly known by its current name, the little settlement around here was known as “The Horseshoes.”
During the Second World War, behind the pub stood a large wooden building known simply as “The Hut”, which became a meeting place for the community, hosting concerts, dances and entertainment for villagers and wounded servicemen.
Today, The Three Horseshoes is a Grade II listed building, with parts of its original timber frame and historic beams still surviving today.
A few hundred years, a fair few pints and plenty of stories later… we’re still here. 🍻❤️
