This isn’t an easy post to write, but like so many pubs across the country, the reality of hospitality right now is extremely tough.
Rising costs, changing habits, and the day-to-day pressures in this industry mean that we need to reduce our current opening hours.
So for now, we’ll be closing our beautiful little pub from Monday to Thursday.
This decision hasn’t come lightly. The Rose & Crown means everything to us and we’re so proud of what we’ve achieved: a place for families, regulars, walkers, and a place for life’s moments alike.
Our new opening hours are:
Friday: 4pm – 11.30pm
Saturday: 12pm – 11.30pm
Sunday: 12pm – 8.30pm
Kitchen hours remain the same:
Saturday lunch: 12pm – 2.30pm
Sunday roasts: 12pm – 5pm
Private events are not affected.
All existing bookings will go ahead as planned, and we’re still available for private hire, celebrations, and events any day of the week.
On the days we’re not open, we’d also encourage you to support our lovely neighbours; The Green Man (who’s Pizza’s truly are the best) and The Queen’s Head (beautiful homemade Asian food, made by Lou’s own talented hands). Keeping local hospitality alive matters more than ever.
We’ll be here at the weekends, the fire lit, the bar open, and our Roasts ready. If you’ve been meaning to pop by, now really is the time, we’d love to see you!
