To clarify, as unfortunately some incorrect information is being shared:

As a family, we will be closing the doors of The Auld Cathkin on 2nd September 2026.

Regarding the building itself and what may happen after we leave, we simply do not know what the future holds. We do not know whether anyone else will take over the premises or what plans, if any, there may be for it.

Any decisions regarding the future of the building are solely for the building owners to make.

We would therefore kindly ask that people do not share rumours or speculation as fact. If there is ever any confirmed information regarding the future of the premises, that information would need to come from the appropriate people.

For now, all we can confirm is that our family’s time at The Auld Cathkin will come to an end on 2nd September.

💔 A MESSAGE FROM THE AULD CATHKIN 💔

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we have to let you all know that The Auld Cathkin will be closing its doors on Wednesday 2nd September.

We are absolutely heartbroken that this is happening.

From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank every single person who has walked through our doors, supported us, joined us for a drink, an event, a sing-song, a laugh or simply came in for a chat. The love and support you have shown us has meant more to our family than we could ever put into words. ❤️

As a family, we are going to miss you all so much. The friendships, memories and laughs we have shared will stay with us forever.

Sadly, all events planned after 2nd September will now be cancelled. I will personally be getting in touch with everyone who is affected by this.

And the biggest thank you of all goes to our amazing staff. ❤️ We genuinely could not have done any of this without you. Thank you for your hard work, your loyalty, your support and for being part of our Auld Cathkin family.

We wish things could have been different, but for now we simply want to say…
