The Hesketh Arms Rufford is a traditional Great British Pub serving a wide range of real ales,premium lagers, fine wines and spirits – including a range of malt whiskies. It is full of atmosphere, character and charm, but above all relaxing, with al fresco dining in the summer and open fires in the winter. Refurb Update!

We’re now into week three of the project, well and truly making a mess and getting dirty in the process. You can’t make an omelette without breaking a few eggs after all!

Whilst it will be next year we get to enjoy the garden properly when the good weather returns, we’re already super excited for this.

Bookings are now open for our reopening from 5pm on the 9th of November, and of course when our festive menu goes live 25th November.

RECRUITMENT EVENING TOMORROW!!!

This is your last chance to visit before our refurbishment begins! We’re open as usual this weekend and close after service on Sunday 27th, so come and see us and raise a glass to the Hesketh, old and new!

We reopen on Monday 9th November, so we’ve a lot to do in a short space of time. Reworking the outside spaces, creating a large dining terrace and gardens and a family area.

Inside, we’re refreshing and adding to our Georgian features, and we’ll be serving food all day. We want to keep everything that makes the Hesketh special while making the very most of our wonderful pub. Ten bedrooms will follow in a second phase next year.

We’re also growing our team, recruiting for all departments. We’re particularly keen to meet experienced managers and chefs, including a roaming head chef to support our opening before moving on to other projects at our sister pubs.

QUIZ NIGHT OUT! 🧠

As we’re closing for refurbishment, so we’re planning a one-off quiz night on Tuesday 13th October at the Derby Arms in Longridge! 🎉

🚌 We’ve hired a bus to take anyone who wants to join us over to the Derby Arms and back, pick up is at 6pm from the paddock.

🧠 Quizmaster Alan will be putting you through your paces, so expect a great night of questions, laughs and a bit of friendly competition!

🍽️ The only requirement is that anyone travelling on the bus is willing to pre-order and purchase a meal at the Derby Arms.

⚠️ Places on the bus are first come, first served, so if you’d like to come along, please let us know as soon as possible to secure your seat and get the full details.

It’s a one-off while we’re closed for refurbishment, so let’s make it a good one! 🎉
