Our Story
The only pub in the village these days, the Nag’s Head was once part of the local manor when built nearly 400 years ago with a number of forges close by. Still very much a traditional village pub, it is handy for those visiting the campsite and moorings at Allhallows, just over a mile away. A large beer garden is ideal for sunnier days while indoors a log burning fire keeps away the winter chills. Events can be held in our large garden with Marquees available for your function. Darts, bar billiards ,bat and trap and cards can all be played and the pub darts team play to local league standard. The pub’s main claim to fame is that the famous painter Hogarth stayed there once for two days.
