“Eight children… and a pub to run!”

John and Betty Ashworth (Owd Bett) had EIGHT children.

Imagine running a pub while bringing up eight children! And we thought it was tough with two!😂

Several generations of the Ashworth family went on to run Owd Betts.
This place really was a family business long before the phrase was invented.
