Our club knockout competition has now started, and we are playing singles, doubles, billiards with all being well attended this year.

Despite the fact that we have three tables, it can get a bit pressured to try to get all the games played within the deadline dates.

So please try to arrange your matches in the afternoons or weekends if possible to try to take the pressure off the evenings as the games can take up a couple of hours.

So please everyone enjoy your snooker and if you are following our club, and interested and would like to play snooker. Please get in touch by leaving a message.

Well another great finals night at the snooker club last night. Three final matches were played and spectators enjoyed some good snooker.

The doubles match was a best of three frames, played between the teams of Tom and Rob, versus Neil and Terry. A great couple of frames was rapidly finished off and the victors were Tom and Rob, a fine exhibition of co-op play and strategy.

Next was the billiards, one frame first to 100. Once again a fine match with some nice breaks, the victor being Tom who played a great game, his opponent being Paul who admitted he thought it a tough game.

Finally was the singles game, played between Tom and Jon, a great set of games that went all three frames ended with a win for Jon and a great end to the night. Well done to all who took part this year.

Hello all, it’s fast approaching that time of year that we prepare for the Platinum Cup knockout event.

All are welcome to attend and play in this event, so please come down and support the club if you can. The knockout starts at 7.30pm on Friday 29th November and we ask if you can get to the club by 7.00pm so we can calculate numbers and sort out the draw for the first round.

So hello everyone, sorry it’s been so long since we posted. The season starts soon and the club has just starred the Markington league for the winter. A weekly competition league, it tests all who take part.

The club is gearing up for a busy time as we come into autumn and continues to seek to improve the table room and make it a better place to visit and play snooker.

Hello everyone, it’s a New Year so what’s a better time to have our annual Christmas party. Yes that’s right, Snooker, dominoes and darts are all on offer tomorrow night as Masham Snooker club hosts it’s main social event.

We gather up at 7.00pm for 7.30 start, with a prizes for winners, food, drink and a raffle it makes for a great night. It a an open invite so members can bring guests, so please come along.

Happy New Year Everyone,

The club is now taking entries for the knockout competitions and if you want to enter it's just £1.00 per entry for singles, doubles and billiards.

There are many opportunities to play and be involved in the club if you want to and we are working on some other events moving forward including some coaching lesson and social nights, so keep in touch for these notices as they come up.

Hello Everyone, Our snooker season is starting so here's a quick update for October.

This month we will be playing a knockout competition for the Queen Elizabeth Platinum Jubilee Cup. Andy Ganderton was the winner of that event earlier this year, and it was decided that we would play for the trophy yearly, going forward to mark the celebration. The cup was kindly donated by the Masham Parish Council and gratefully received.

We will also be running a social knockout night later this month, I will be notifying the events separately so you can decide if you will attend. See you there.

Hello All,

The club held its knockout event on Friday to celebrate the Queens Platinum Jubilee. It was agreed that proceeds from the event would go to charity. A busy night with many people turning up to play made for a hectic first few hours, as we had a lot of games to play.

Despite the late finish, a worthy winner was declared and awarded the trophy. All those who stayed back watched a great game between two well-matched opponents.

Hello everyone, this is a catch up to last weeks social night which was a great success. We had a good attendance and were able to play two sets of snooker competitions, one for those who went through to the final and a second for those who needed another go to get their eye in.

There was a great deal of social chit chat and that was the main purpose of the night, to get people meeting each other and getting to know other players as well as playing against those you might not always have a chance to play against.

We had some great result with Richard Lapthorne winning outright, a brilliant result, but prizes also went to Colin for coming second place in the main competition, Sam getting first in the second competition and John the runner up.

The bar was also up and running and this gave the club some extra income, a very important part of helping the clubs revenues, so many thanks to those who helped support the bar and forced down the beers.
