Join us at Holy Trinity church in Ripon tomorrow (Saturday 13 June) for a beautiful summer programme including Rodrigo 'Concierto de Aranjuez' with the brilliant guitarist Chris Godhard.

🎵 Young musicians of Ripon/ North Yorkshire area— this one’s for you.
Applications are now open for the Ripon Concerts Young Performers Platform, giving musicians aged 18 and under the chance to perform on a professional stage in front of a real audience.
To apply, you’ll need to be Grade 6 or above and live within 10 miles of Ripon.
What makes it worth doing: you’ll be opening for the internationally acclaimed artists in our concert series — and getting the chance to meet them afterwards.

🌟We were delighted to welcome young clarinettist, Alex Stanfield to perform ahead of our December concert — a fantastic showcase of the talent coming through our Young Performers platform.

🎶 Alex, a student School and a member of Valley Youth Orchestra, gave a confident and engaging performance of the third movement from Horovitz’s Clarinet Sonata, setting the tone beautifully for the evening. It’s a real privilege to support and celebrate young musicians at this stage in their journey, and to work in partnership with schools and youth organisations who nurture this talent.

We are now ready to launch our 'BRASS ROOTS' beginner band.

Have you ever wondered what it's like to play a brass instrument?
Would you like to learn to read music and play in a brass band?

If so this is for you....
Brass Roots open day run by Helen Minshall where you can try a number of different brass instruments for free. Just bring yourself and a packed lunch!

🎻 Throwback Thursday 🎹

During our quieter season, we’re sharing some favourite moments from past concerts—and today’s is a very special one.

This clip comes from our spectacular February 2025 concert featuring three outstanding international soloists: Jack Liebeck (violin), Tim Lowe (cello) and Katya Apekisheva (piano). Listening back still gives us spine tingles!

Here they perform an extract from Tchaikovsky’s monumental Piano Trio in A minor.

We’re delighted that Jack Liebeck and Tim Lowe return to Ripon on 25 April 2026 to perform Brahms’ Double Concerto with the Cecilia Orchestra. It promises to be another unforgettable concert — we hope to see you there!
