We are SO excited to kick off our 2026/27 season with Connaught Brass — genuinely one of the most electrifying ensembles on the UK chamber music scene right now. 🎺🔥

This isn't your typical brass quintet. Critics have raved about their jaw-dropping technique and their fearless, genre-bending approach to repertoire — and on 11 October they bring that same energy to Holy Trinity Church, Ripon, with a programme that sweeps from Rameau and Ravel through to the sultry sound-world of Piazzolla, the lyricism of Florence Price, and Gershwin's Porgy and Bess.

🌿 What a wonderful way to launch our 2026/27 season! 🎶

🎶At the end of July, we welcomed supporters, volunteers and donors to a special Garden Party at Prospect House to celebrate the start of another exciting year for Ripon Concerts.

👏We enjoyed a beautiful performance from vocal ensemble Capriccio Five, shared news about our new Friends Scheme, and had the chance to thank everyone who helps make Ripon Concerts possible. It was a lovely summers evening filled with music, great company and delicious refreshments.

Six Sunday afternoons. One season. At Holy Trinity Church, Ripon.

Our 2026/27 season runs on Sunday afternoons from October to March — six concerts, one season ticket, £125. That’s six ground floor tickets for the price of five.

🎻 11 October — Connaught Brass
🎻 8 November — Pictures at an Exhibition, Reina Okada, piano
🎻 13 December — A Ceremony of Carols: Corvus Consort with Louise Thomson, harp
🎻 10 January — Treske Quintet
🎻 14 February — Jeneba Kanneh-Mason, piano
🎻 14 March — Jaren Ziegler, viola with Kasparas Mikužis, piano

All concerts start at 3pm. Individual tickets also available, from £5 to £25.

🎵 Young musicians of Ripon/ North Yorkshire area— this one’s for you.
Applications are now open for the Ripon Concerts Young Performers Platform, giving musicians aged 18 and under the chance to perform on a professional stage in front of a real audience.
To apply, you’ll need to be Grade 6 or above and live within 10 miles of Ripon.
What makes it worth doing: you’ll be opening for the internationally acclaimed artists in our concert series — and getting the chance to meet them afterwards.

🌟We were delighted to welcome young clarinettist, Alex Stanfield to perform ahead of our December concert — a fantastic showcase of the talent coming through our Young Performers platform.

🎶 Alex, a student School and a member of Valley Youth Orchestra, gave a confident and engaging performance of the third movement from Horovitz’s Clarinet Sonata, setting the tone beautifully for the evening. It’s a real privilege to support and celebrate young musicians at this stage in their journey, and to work in partnership with schools and youth organisations who nurture this talent.
