As many of you will already know Paul McGrath (Rusty as many of you will have known him by) our Landlord sadly passed away last month.

Please know his Funeral is being held at 2.40pm on the 20th October at The West Herts Crematorium North Chapel for those that would like to attend and pay their respects.

The family have asked for any donations to be made towards the British Heart Foundation or flowers if you wish.

Only two days to go until we can welcome you all back inside!

Our opening hours will return to normal as below:

Monday-Thursday 12-11pm
Friday-Saturday 12-11.30pm
Sunday 12-10.30pm

We will also be taking bookings inside for dining in the restaurant. You can call 01923 712253 or send us a message to book your table. Tables for bar and restaurant will be a maximum of 6 as per government guidelines.

We will ask, that you kindly wear a mask when inside and moving around the pub. Please also ensure you sign in for the track and trace and abide to the one way system we have put in place for everyone’s safety.

We can’t wait to see everyone back inside although our garden will of course still be open for when the sun is shining!☀️

Hi everyone!

So it’s finally that time when restrictions are being eased! Hope everyone is excited as we are!

We will, of course, be operating a little differently to before. All food and drink will be served outdoor as per government guidelines. We will not be taking bookings for the outdoor areas however we had been working hard during lockdown to create more seating in the outdoor areas.
We have also added a decking area and new furniture to be enjoyed!

We are also going to amend our opening hours to 12pm-9pm and this will be reviewed as lockdown continues to ease!

We can’t thank you enough for your continued support and understanding throughout the last year!

Looking forward to seeing everyone and having a well deserved drink!

Opening Hour Changes

Hi all,

Please take note of our new Monday and Tuesday opening hours.

Due to the government guidelines, we will now be opening the bar and kitchen at 5pm on Mondays and Tuesdays until further notice.

Wednesday to Sunday we will open at 12pm as usual.

WE ARE NOW OPEN!!

And we have missed you!
Get yourself down to the Half Way House for a nice cold beverage with plenty of seating inside and out.

Our Large Garden has been spaced out to ensure tables are at least 2 meters apart to ensure you get to enjoy your time here safely.

The inside of the Pub has also seen changes to accommodate the guidelines set out by the Government. Seating is available inside and a New one way system is in place to help ensure your safety and that of our Staff while ordering your food and drink
