‼️ Important Update for This Evening’s Opening Hours ‼️

We will be open as usual this evening, however our last FOOD orders will be at 7:00pm, and we will be closing by 9:00pm tonight.

Unfortunately, we experienced an issue overnight with our bulk gas tank, which meant the system completely ran out of gas. The problem has now been fixed, but the engineer has only been able to provide a small temporary top-up until our main delivery arrives tomorrow.

Because of this, we’re taking a cautious approach and have made the decision to close a little earlier this evening only.

It’s not the best start to the week for us, but thankfully it’s only a small hiccup and everything is now sorted.

Looking ahead, the rest of the week is shaping up to be a busy one. We have a few tables left for Friday and Saturday evening, and we are fully booked for Mother’s Day this Sunday.

Are The Cold Dark Days Over? ⛅️

With the days getting lighter and milder we’re finding the weekends are getting booked up quicker.

This weekend is a busy one, Friday we’re fully booked, we have limited space on Saturday and fully booked on Sunday.

Our booking system on our website seems to be working well, it’s the quickest and easiest way to book.

Here’s a few images from last weeks menu, Chargrilled Swordfish with Shrimps in Garlic & Chilli Butter, Lightly Battered Tempura of Monkfish with Thai Salad, Chargrilled Chicken with Homemade Stilton Sauce or the classic pub dish Scampi and Fries.

Half Term Week

What a busy start to the week we had last night — thank you to everyone who joined us. We’re very sorry if you tried to call and couldn’t get through; we were fully focused on looking after everyone in the pub.

We’re by the phone today if you’d like to book a table, or you can use the booking system on our website. It’s a busy week ahead with limited availability on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, and Sunday is now fully booked.

A quick note as well — it’s that time of year when our Sunday lunches fill up especially quickly. We’re already close to fully booked for all Sundays up to 22nd March, and Easter Sunday is filling fast too. If you’re planning to join us, we’d recommend booking soon.

As always, thank you for your continued support. We don’t take it for granted and we truly appreciate it.

Quality Produce, Sourced Locally 🐟

As it says on the bottom of our Weekly Fish Specials Menu, “Our Fish Is Sourced Locally From Hodgsons of Hartlepool The Best In The Business”.

Last week our specials consisted of Pan Roasted Red Bream Fillet, Grilled Halibut, Chargrilled Swordfish, Grilled Seabass and a lovely starter of Buttered Smoked King Prawns with a Mango Thai Salad.

We have some availability still for Friday night this week, with Saturday night and Sunday Lunch now fully booked. Also we are fully booked for Valentines Evening as well.

Closed To Spend Time With Family 🔴🔴

Just a reminder, we are closed this week and the start of next week. We’re back open Friday 2nd January for a few days before we go on our honeymoon.
