Long before we became the pub you know and love today, The White Eagle was already a part of the fabric of Rhoscolyn.
Our story begins with Zigi Kowalski, a Polish pilot who flew from RAF Valley, who is said to have been the first owner, and gave the name The White Eagle, inspired by the proud symbol of the Polish Air Force. 🇵🇱
Over the years, the pub became a much loved part of the local community, welcoming generations of locals, visitors and families to this very special corner of Anglesey.
Then, in 2007, a new chapter began.
The Timpson family took on The White Eagle, with Alex Timpson falling in love with both the pub and its spectacular setting. The Timpson family made a big investment to solidify themselves as the proprietors of our beautiful countryside pub.
Today, The White Eagle is part of Flock Inns, operated by the Timpson Group, and continuing Alex’s legacy in Rhoscolyn. Flock Inns now operates internationally, with 4 beautiful venues in the UK and two stunning hotels in Morzine France. Whilst all sites have different, beautiful characters, we’re all brought together by one thing, Timpson’s culture ❤️
And after all these years, that story is still being written.
